First-time buyer questions, answered
Is the first-time home buyer webinar free?
Yes. The webinar is free and on demand. You can start watching right away, and there is no obligation.
Who is the webinar for?
It is built for first-time buyers in metro Atlanta, including Atlanta, Marietta, Alpharetta, Roswell, Sandy Springs, Decatur, Kennesaw, Woodstock, McDonough and Stockbridge, but the fundamentals apply anywhere in Georgia.
How much do I need for a down payment in Georgia?
It depends on the loan program. Some conventional loans allow as little as 3% down, FHA loans as little as 3.5%, and VA and USDA loans may require no down payment for eligible buyers. All programs are subject to credit approval and availability may vary.
What credit score do I need to buy my first home?
Minimums vary by program and lender. FHA programs generally accept lower scores than conventional loans. Alyson can review your situation and explain which options may fit, subject to credit approval.
How long is the webinar?
It is a focused walkthrough you can watch in one sitting, and you can pause and come back on the same device.
Can I talk to Alyson after watching?
Absolutely. Call or text (770) 315-9852, email alyson.foy@edgehomefinance.com, or apply online to get your pre-approval started.
Ready to talk about your own first home?
